Is BetterBookmark free?

Yes. BetterBookmark is completely free. There are no plans, no subscriptions, and no credit card needed.

How do I get my bookmarks into BetterBookmark?

Export your bookmarks from your browser as an HTML file, then upload it in the BetterBookmark app. Zipped exports work too. All major browsers can export bookmarks this way.

What happens after I upload?

BetterBookmark visits each link and builds a searchable index of what the page is about. Large libraries can take a little while to process.

How is this different from normal bookmark search?

Normal search matches exact words in titles. BetterBookmark searches by meaning, so “that article about rust async” finds the right page even if those words are not in its title.

Is there a browser extension?

Yes. The Chrome extension saves the current page in one click, imports your Chrome bookmarks, and lets you search your library from the toolbar. Connect it once through the web app.
